Promised Photos
❤ Here are the photos I said I'd send yesterday π
I am staying in a nice dormitory-style room with 2 bunk beds, a mini kitchen, and a small bathroom, and a separate shower room. For now, I am alone. Another woman with our team should be arriving on Friday evening. The room even has an ocean view if I climb the bunk bed ladder to look out the window!
The past two mornings, I went to Baile Entretenido (Entertaining Dance) which is like Zumba, at the Pura Vida Sports Complex. One of the main ministry focuses of YWAM Pichilemu is Sports Ministry. They have a building with fitness equipment and fitness class studios, and they have a large indoor swimming pool with a hot tub and a gymnasium. (It’s a lot like the YMCA.)
After the class, I had breakfast with the team in the Dining Area of the Sports Complex.
Then we went to work. The three projects we are working on are pouring concrete for a Skate Park, painting and old bus that is eventually going to become a coffee shop at the Skate Park, and completing the locker rooms of the gymnasium. My project today was sweeping all the dirt and rocks off of a large 30’ x 30’ concrete slab so we can pour a new concrete slab over it. I swept for about 5 hours, and, yes, I have a blister!
For dinner, we walked to town and bought empanadas made to order at a restaurant near Parque Ross.
The first two you see here are Katrina Anderson and her dad Mitch (Mitch & Juliette are the YWAM base leaders)
