Who is going to take care of Ruby Sunshine 🦮?

 If you have seen me lately, you know my new constant companion, Ruby Sunshine ☀️, the beautiful red-nosed pitbull I adopted on October 24, 2023. I would love to have her with me on this trip, but that is not reasonable.

She will be staying with my son Silas and his housemate Tony (friends since they were in Middle School at Monte Vista Christian) in San Jose. Their landlord graciously postponed building an auxiliary living unit in the backyard of their house because they’ll be caring for her until I return on May 28.

She is a very sweet and well-natured dog who loves everybody, and Silas is one of her favorites! 

Please pray that it goes well for all of them. I don’t want her to feel like she has been re-adopted. And pray for me! I was afraid I would miss her terribly when I traveled to Chile in December, but I did fine because I had the Fabulous Four (my kids Joy, Silas, and Asa and Joy’s husband Avi) to keep me company. I think I will be getting to know other dogs on my journey to help ease the pain of separation from Ruby.

      Dearest Tammy , your life heart and soul may be missing our brother Joseph as we all are …but indeed our Heavenly Father is added Ruby and much more .
      Not to replace nor take the place of your beloved husband . But ,rather to let you know that you are never alone .

      We ,I your friends , sisters and brother’s in Chist ( and Joe too .. watching from heaven above),see you grow daily to this resistant , strong , adventurous ,angelic human being. A beautiful butterfly 🦋! Sharing life and each moment with others . Just like Joe gatheting , encouraging , helping others. Yet ,not neglecting your own Mind , Body and Soul.

      Let us not forget ,one key 🔑 ❤️ heart vision that Joe had … the Christian Surfers ministry is moving forward . The key souls globally are and will be impacted for Heaven on earth. The greatest gift of all a personal, eternal relationship with Jesus Christ .

    I know you will feel some loss when separated from your Ruby but I trust you to turn towards Jesus who will comfort you. I know how He sustained me in my empty nest!

    Happy to hear that Ruby will be with SiGuy; somebody she knows and loves. You will miss her, yes. But take comfort in that she is with a trusted person. May you be blessed on your trip.

¡Hola! 🦋 Wednesday, April 10 After the morning routine of dance exercise class, breakfast, and devotionals, I tried to help set the new swimming pool men’s locker room water heater thermostat. I didn’t succeed, but my teammate Kevin found a YouTube video in Spanish to guide the staff in setting it. After that, I painted the kitchen some more, and removed signs from the entryway walls so Mikayla could paint without obstruction. It’s not easy being green! (Trying to go from blue to yellow 🫠) The Pura Vida pool (I got to peek at the pool every time I took a bathroom break because the bathrooms in the gym are not completed yet.) Trip Reflection 🗺️🪞

As I wrap up this trip blog, I want to revisit my goals for the trip and reflect on each of them. I have written my reflections below each goal in purple type. My intentions for this trip were: 1. To serve with the CSUS Surf & Serve team at Youth With A Mission YWAM Pichilemu in Chile, doing construction work; to build relationships with fellow team members. My time in Chile seems sooo long ago! The Mission Trip was awesome, and I grew so close to the other team members that I cried when they left! I look forward to continuing to build relationships with them in the future. Almost all of them have been on previous trips to Pichilemu. Who knows? Maybe I’ll go again sometime. I am especially glad to have gotten to know Mikayla better, since she is our new Regional Director for Christian Surfers Northern California. Mikayla and her fiance, Joey 2. Coffs Harbour / Kiwi Down Under Farm 🚉 🧄 🫚 🧺 📦 🥝 🧑‍🌾

  Monday, May 13 I got up and called my Mums to wish them a Happy Mother's Day (a day later than mine in Australia). Then I started packing up my bags for the 2-hour train trip to Coffs Harbour. Judith took me to the Wauchope Station and beautiful indigenous-style artwork. I got confused with the military time and arrived 2 hours early. (Hence I had time to catch up on past blog posts.)
