Diamond Head, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 🚐 🦘 🏄 🌊

Thursday, May 9: This post is dedicated to Cecilia Cuara, who told me I had to see kangaroos while in Australia and asked me to bring one home to her 🦘!

This morning, George drove me to Diamond Head to see kangaroos who hang out in the campground there!

And some more birds!

I also surfed! It’s a great beginner spot. I caught 7 good waves and had one barrel-roll wipeout. I didn’t even try to stand up, just stayed on my tummy. It was awesome!

The sun was shining and it was warm until we walked up from the beach when we finished surfing. The timing was perfect.

We showered off and ate a snack in the back of the van, and enjoyed watching the kangaroos while we ate.

Here’s the dirt road we drove on to get to Diamond Head. A little muddy on the way back, due to the rain.

We drove by the sailboat that the Watt’s son Chris used to own and traveled in with his wife Sage when they first married. They sold it, but it still stays at Dunbogan River.

We plan to visit the Koala Hospital tomorrow on our way to Port Macquarie

I came home, showered, and had no plans for the rest of the day. So I caught up on my blog!
