Brisbane to Agnes Water π π« π± π
Monday, May 20
This was the first day of my eighth and last week of traveling. I made it to Agnes Water, the farthest north I will go on the East Coast of Australia. The reason I came this far north was to do a Great Barrier Reef boat tour to Lady Musgrave Island.
Ian McKay drove me from their apartment in Brisbane to their house & rental in Agnes Water. The countryside was gorgeous, of course! I have mostly stopped taking photos when traveling from one city to another because the scenery is all so beautiful, but similar. Plus, photos from cars, buses, trains, and boats don’t come out that great! This trip had heaps of picturesque rivers, cows, trees, etc. There is a lot of agriculture up here, close to the top of the subtropical zone, right before the tropical zone begins. Sugarcane, macadamias, mandarin oranges, etc.

We stopped in an old city called Childers for some lunch.

When we got to Agnes Water, we went to the store so I could buy some food for my stay. (I have my own kitchen!)
The McKays have a 2-bedroom apartment below their home that they rent out on AirBnB. https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/38130883?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=942640de-d768-46de-a41d-1f9e2699ae06 They let me stay there for no charge. When we got to their house, Ian helped me get situated in the apartment.

I had to hurry to get out of the house and take a walk to Agnes Water Main Beach before sunset. (Comes early this time of year, which is fall here: around 5:15 p.m.)
All gorgeous! You are certainly seeing alot of the upsidedown world!!! I love your adventure and thank you for sharing!!!
